When you decide it’s time to renovate it may be that you are planning to sell, or perhaps to incorporate new technologies in your home or because it’s simply time for a more modern décor. As part of the renovation we ensure your home is updated for today’s technology-based lifestyle. We upgrade old, dangerous or non-compliant wiring or switchboards, so they fully meet current electrical compliance and safety standards.
We can design a modern electrical system that blends into older architecture, maintaining the period feel of your home while upgraded LED lighting will deliver energy efficiencies.
Before we start any renovation project, we find out what you want to achieve and discuss ways we can future-proof your home, adding to its value and ensuring upcoming technology changes can be easily incorporated without further major work.
Two of the most popular recent home technology advances are Alexa and Google Home. They have fundamentally changed our daily routines and got rid of boring chores, and this technology will become standard in most homes within just a few years. Don’t get left behind, start planning your renovation now!
The first step in any renovation
work we undertake is to have a comprehensive meeting with our client. If plans have already been drawn up we will examine them so we know what’s required. If no plans exist, we will draw up power, lighting and technology plans for each floor that incorporate everything we discussed at our meeting.
We go through the plans with you in detail and once any changes needed are decided, we prepare a detailed quote. Once accepted, we confirm the project time frames and begin the 7-step installation process . Each project concludes with a handover during which we go over the work, hand over the certifications and compliance documents, demonstrate how to use your new technology and explain the maintenance requirements.
We don’t consider a renovation complete until you are fully satisfied with every aspect of your newly renovated home.
Our success is measured by referrals we receive from happy clients. Jill Jones is one of them.
For Jill, working with various trades through previous renovation projects, had at times, been very stressful.
She found that working with us was quite the opposite – everyone on the team was very respectful of both people and property.
Throughout the project, Jill says, we were thoughtful about how the plans would work in practice. “Nothing is a problem for EAV, they can handle anything. They use common sense and ask your opinion instead of trying to railroad you.”
Jill had intended to split the electrical and audio visual work between different companies but was so impressed with EAV and our full range of services that she used us for the entire project.
In fact, Jill was so impressed that her husband recommended EAV to his board of directors for their office fit-out.
