Why Maintain?

At the completion of every job, our team takes the time to talk with our customers about that most mundane but important of topics – maintenance. We do so because it is crucially important to the ongoing operation of virtually every system or component we install.

As anyone who owns equipment, tools or machinery knows – if you look after your gear, it will look after you. And with an EAV service contract you will enjoy years of happy listening, watching and using your smart home technology. Nothing is worse than inviting guests round to check out your ‘new’ home to find it doesn’t live up to expectations!

Maintenance can save you money, too. Keeping everything in working order is much cheaper than having to repair what’s broken or not working. To say nothing of the stress and inconvenience. At EAV we take maintenance seriously. You should, too!

There are two types of maintenance – preventative and reactive.

Preventative Maintenance

Annual checks of switchboards, home automation systems and alarms extend the life of your technology and equipment, and gives you peace of mind. Preventative maintenance and servicing greatly reduces the chances of the break-ins from security system failures, fires and technical malfunctions that every homeowner fears.

When we install electrical, smart home or automation products, we can put in place a service contract that ensures all the needed checks and re-certifications are carried out at the appropriate intervals. And you don’t have to remember when that is as we’ll get in touch when it’s time for our technicians to carry out your regular check or service.

Our clients love that it’s one less thing they have to remember. And if we spot anything we think is going to become a problem anytime soon, we’ll let you know so you can choose whether to have it sorted out on the spot or book a time for us to return.

Reactive Maintenance

Sometimes, no matter how well you have kept up your maintenance, something breaks down. And thanks to Murphy’s Law, you can be sure it will happen when you least expect it, least have time to deal with it and when it’s the most inconvenient.

That’s when you need to have the phone number handy of a trusted service company you can call any day, any time and know you’ll get a response. And not the “We’ll be there two weeks next Thursday” kind. You want the “How soon is convenient?” kind of response. Which is what you get when you contact EAV.

Call us whenever you have a problem with your electrics or smart tech and we can dispatch one of our skilled, registered electricians. Our well-stocked vans carry most items needed to remedy faults, to save time and money.
